On Thursday, December 12th, 2019 members of the St Mary of Carmen Society shopped for toys for children/families in need of various ages. On Sunday, December 15th, members dropped off the toys at Newton Fire Station 4 (The Lake). We would like to thank the Newton Fire Department for collecting for Toys for Tots for many years and making a very convenient drop off location.

This is one of the many things the St Mary of Carmen Society does with the funding raised from our loyal supporters throughout the year, and we thank you for making this possible.

This years lighting of Coletti-Magni Park was held on Sunday, December 8th. It was well attended despite a cold night and enjoyed by all! Congratulations to the NCCPA on all of your hard work!

If you missed it, or want to enjoy it again, here is a video of the countdown:

Our very own President, Frank Battista, was on the mic again and kept the crowd entertained while awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus! Please enjoy some photos of the event:

Our Worthy Brother of the society Anthony “Fatty” Pellegrini pictured below and his sister Linda deserve so much credit for this great event! They’ve worked so hard to carry on this tradition from their parents and we are all so proud and so happy to continue to be a part of such a wonderful community tradition!

Next years lighting will be Sunday December 6th and we are looking forward to it already!

The St Mary of Carmen Society has many fundraisers throughout the year to raise money to support our community. One of those is our Christmas Tree Fundraiser! In 2019 we were able to offer any tree for just $40!

Members took delivery of 300 trees and have been working very hard on some cold days and nights to get them out there!

The St Mary of Carmen Society would like to sincerely thank Michael Donnellan for the large donation he made at our Christmas tree fundraiser on Friday December 6th. It is the extremely generous people like you who allow us to continue what we do!
