Msgr. Dennis Sheehan

Our hearts are heavy yet again over the loss of one of our own. Msgr. Dennis Sheehan, may you rest in peace.

Information on services from Fr. Dan:

Dear Friends,

My heart-felt condolences to you as we mourn Fr. Dennis. In our time of loss we recall that Fr. Dennis would often say: “A blessed Sunday to us all!” We trust he is now experiencing a blessed Sunday (resurrection day) with Jesus in Heaven. For his life on earth and now his risen life in Heaven, we echo another of his sayings: “Let us give thanks to the Lord our God!”

Due to the COVID restrictions all services for Msgr. Dennis will be private at the request of the family.

Please participate in Fr. Dennis’ funeral by celebrating his Mass on-line. By 6pm Friday, Nov. 27th, it will be posted on our website, on our YouTube Channel, and sent out by Flocknote.

As a staff we are currently working on additional ways to honor Fr. Dennis. More details about these efforts will be forthcoming — likely the week after Thanksgiving. Also, after the pandemic, we will be able to invite all to a Memorial Mass for Msgr. Sheehan.

With thanks to Fr. Dennis’ family for making this designation, donations in his memory can be made to our Collaborative two-parish St. Vincent DePaul Society. The mailing address is: St. Vincent DePaul Society; Our Lady’s Parish Offices; 573 Washington St.; Newton MA 02458.

May Dennis rejoice in Heaven, as his words and example inspire us, and his prayers assist us.

Love and resurrection faith. – Fr. Dan
